Area Attractions: Just up the road in Coffen is the Forsee vineyard and winery. Within walking distance is  the Orpheum movie theater were it's just $6 for movie drink and popcorn! Plus the Breemer Bird Sanctuary is a must for a morning walk and coffee.

Across the road from the Inn is a private collection of buffalo owned by the local medical doctor. The headquarters for the Volks walking organization where there is a local walk through town. Central Park, located near downtown Hillsboro, has a large swimming pool, a bathhouse, and a wading pool for young children plus a sports complex with soccer field, ball diamonds, and play area.

Hillsboro's surrounding lakes and parks will satisfy a diversity of recreational interest, with their excellent fishing and water skiing. Both Glenn Shoals Lake and Lake Hillsboro are stocked by the Illinois Department of Conservation with bass, bluegill, crappie and catfish.
